Galizia chosen for Milan cathedral
A Galizia G90 electric pick and carry crane was delivered earlier this week to the ‘Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo di Milano’ – the organisation that started building Milan's Duoma cathedral more than 600 years ago in 1386.

The Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo di Milano has also been responsible for working on and restoring the fabric of the cathedral and the numerous works of art it houses.
Fabio Galizia-Vercelli, managing director of Galizia Said: "I am very proud that the ‘Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo di Milano’ has chosen our company and our crane for solving a very delicate and specific lifting problem. The G90 will be working in the workshop/building yard near the Duomo for the daily loading and unloading of the delivery trucks, as well as for placing building materials and laying marble slabs.

On special religious holidays, the crane – fitted with a remote control electronic joystick and special jib - will help inside the Cathedral to reposition valuable works of art including paintings portraying the life of San Carlo Borromeo.”
The crane was built to the client’s specifications and was chosen initially because of its compact size, 180 degree steering and special wheels and tyres to avoid damage to the delicate floors. The Cathedral has many areas that are very narrow and difficult to access.

I'm glad this news. I know the company Galizia and their products, an Italian family that produces high quality cranes cured in all details, answering the practical needs or specific needs of the customer.
