JCB Slip in UK top 100 chart
JCB the market leading producer of Telescopic handlers has slipped five places in this years Sunday Times/KPMG chart of the UK’s 100 largest privately held companies.
The annual chart lists the top 100 companies by net revenues exclusive of VAT.
Last year JCB came in at number 30 with revenues of £773 million, this year they slipped to position 35 with sales of £817 million (1992) and an operating profit of £18 million. The results used were the latest available from companies house.
One of the companies that helped push JCB down five places was contractor Laing O’Rourke which jumped from 45 to 22nd with revenues doubling for the period.
