Alloy tower scrappage deal

Car scrappage schemes have been all the rage in both Europe and North America over the past 12 months, a company in the UK is offering a similar programme for users of scaffold towers.

Work at height specialist Planet Platforms says that it is offering its tower trade-in scheme to encourage companies to update their old scaffold towers with brand new ones.

The incentive is a 40 percent discount plus £300 to buy back your old tower. The scheme is targeted at those who are working on, or have old scaffold towers, but do not have the budget to buy a brand new one at normal prices.

Tim Mee, marketing manager at Planet Platforms said: "Trade-in schemes have always been popular and especially so over the last 24 months. Working on an old scaffold tower can be risky and highly dangerous. We encourage safe working at height and this scheme supports that".
