The new company will supply cranes, heavy lift and transport equipment on a variety of flexible terms, from re-rent to leasing or sale – all without operators. It will offer a wide range of consultancy services from equipment inspections to certified equipment valuations and company valuations. It will also buy and sell new and used cranes, heavy transport and alternative lifting equipment.

The four partners Van Seumeren, Timmer, Bon and Casteleijn are responsible for operations, finance and legal matters, purchasing and selling and marketing respectively.
Van Seumeren said: “Re-Move will hold an independent position between crane rental companies, manufacturers of heavy equipment and banks or leasing companies. We will build up our own fleet in this segment and as an independent party, will focus worldwide on crane rental companies and traders in the heavy lift and transport market.”
“We can see that it is difficult for many companies at present to invest in expensive cranes, yet there is a great deal of demand for capacity. With our leasing concepts we can offer companies very flexible capacity when and where they want it, all over the world without tying up their capital. We know the market through and through. That's also a source of our added value, we can provide personalised services. Thanks to our long-standing contacts with manufacturers, and can deliver state of the art equipment flexibly and quickly. Our worldwide network enables us to bring supply and demand together. Our knowledge and experience also makes us an interesting party for leasing companies and banks.”
Vertikal Comment
As demand for equipment continues to pick up it is easy to see that equipment users - from contractors to rental companies - will be interested in dealing with a team that is knowledgeable and easy to deal. The key element to the success is the financial muscle that the new venture has. If
one assumes that it is well funded and can therefore make big decisions quickly and easily then it has a bright future, especially when combined with the knowledge and experience of the four partners.
The announcement raises as many questions as it answers, so we will be following up with a more in depth coverage in the coming weeks.
