Can you have too much protection?
A photo sent to us by a reader in Scotland, shows a Rough Terrain scissor lift with locally added extra protection.
The unit appears to be working alongside a building and as a result it most likely has some protection from winds. However the whole set up has a considerable weight and if exposed to winds will be affected considerably, especially with the extra weight on top.

We are not quite sure why it needs all that steel mesh enclosure on the side and then the netting on top? But does appear to be slightly over the top. One wonders if this is a rental company option or something the contractor has done himself. Whichever - it will affect the machines stability and technically requires manufacturer approval

With the latest spread the load campaign I am surprised , ed , you never mentioned the dodgy spreader pads or should I say Scaffold boards. A candidate for extreme anti-crush???
