New GM for Zoomlion Europe

Zoomlion has appointed Petre Babiceanu as general manager of its European subsidiary Zoomlion Europe.

Based at the company’s European headquarters in Milan, Italy, Babiceanu will be responsible for overseeing and developing the company’s range of mobile and tower cranes, aerial work platforms, concrete pumps and forklifts throughout Europe.

Petre Babiceanu

A civil engineer by education, he joins the company after almost 20 years with Austrian sales and rental group Industrie Holding, having originally joined the company in 2001 as general manager for Terra Romania. In 2012 he took on the role of group regional director south east in addition to his other responsibilities, becoming general manager of the company’s lifting machinery division in 2020. Prior to Industrie Holding, Babiceanu was national sales and marketing manager for Lindab Romania from 1999 to 2001.

He said: "I am honoured to have been given this post and be part of a young and dynamic team, and I see the expansion of the company more in the European market as a fantastic opportunity. The timing is very favourable with the end of the Covid-19 crisis."
