New management board for Advanced

UK based Advanced Access Platforms has appointed a new five man executive board, which will take over the day to day running of the company.

The move is aimed at ensuring the ongoing growth of the business, by “combing a mixture of youth, determination and experience”. The board is made up of the five department heads - Chelsea Corcoran, Conner Rowland, Jamie Corcoran, Joe Firmager and Matt Woolman.

It also comes as the company, which has its headquarters in Sutton, Surrey, is in the final stages of opening a new location in Kettering, Northamptonshire, its fourth location and second ‘fully green’ depot, the first of which was opened within London’s Ultra Low Emission Zone in 2018.

A company statement said: “There are lots of exciting changes coming, especially in the continued growth of the businesses' green eco model. This includes continued investments in electric and hybrid equipment, which not only includes rental machines, but also the transport fleet. These additions to the fleet are vital to really help drive the company's long term vision of zero carbon emissions.”

Advanced Access Platforms was established by access industry veteran John Corcoran at the start of 2008, following many years with London based Universal Aerial Platforms, and two start ups that never attained their full potential. But it has certainly been third time lucky for Corcoran with Advanced Access which has not only grown into a substantial and successful business, but which has also introduced numerous innovations over the years, including same day deliveries and the all green depot concept. Clearly he feels that time is now right to hand over the day to day baton to a new generation and expanded management team.
