However it includes a new winch speed monitoring system using ‘Safety Programmable Logic Controllers’ (PLC) where the speed achieved is constantly checked against the speed expected according to controller position and load. The system, which has been through extensive development and test programme has been designed so that it could be retro fitted to existing Raptor cranes.

Components of the first Raptor crane were first seen at Vertikal Days 2009, some five months before the first units were shipped.
City Lifting had also planned to show the innovative Comansa D56 tower sections at the event on June 27th/28th but the sales of the world’s largest flat top crane have been strong and the sections are now required for a new crane delivery in South America.
Thats a beautiful machine to have in your front garden, and if thats the bag of charcoal heading over the house for a bbq then I'll be round. Great to see that investment in new, well thought out plant is still ongoing. Amazing to think of the cost to an individual to have such a machine on a domestic re-furb !
