Airos for UK food company

UK food and drink logistics company Culina has taken delivery of five Airo scissor lifts from local distributor Aerial and Handling Services.

The order comprises four 33ft X12EW and a 40ft X14EW scissor lift. The X12EW offers working heights up to 12.1 metres, while the X14EW offers 14 metres. Both models feature a 1.5 metre platform extension and an unrestricted 400kg platform capacity. The company decided to go for the Airo brand following a lengthy and detailed procurement procedure.

Mark Adams, Culina material handling equipment manager, said: “I was a bit surprised at how some of the larger manufacturers didn’t seem to have that attentiveness when making an enquiry from a relative novice. It really took some effort to get to the detail and I really needed someone to talk technical to me. Basically we liked the quality of the Airo product, it has a lot of nice operator friendly features and unrivalled specification that fitted our requirements perfectly, plus it uses tried and tested material-handling equipment technology in the traction system. Our trainer liked the safety features, which was a positive aspect, and all the key components are easily accessible. The Team at AHS seem like genuine down to earth people who do things without having to ask twice, and for me that is what swung it in their favour.”

Realist
Great to see another significant sale of the Airo range of equipment for Ian and the team at Aerial and Handling Solutions. It just proves how much business is out there that the so called 'big boys' miss out on with their corporate attitude towards enquiries, which neglect the smaller but ultimately, prime purchasers.
