Selecting the best rental provider

The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) will launch its latest online seminar next week, targeted at helping end users select a rental company accredited to the IPAF Rental+ quality assurance standard.

The pre-recorded talk will ‘go live’ at noon - 12:00 - on Thursday 21st July on the association’s YouTube channel and will take a detailed look at the IPAF Rental+ standard.

While aimed at end users it should also prove to be a handy tool for IPAF rental company members that have achieved the standard to use as part of their marketing efforts. The audited accreditation, which is now mandatory for UK rental members demonstrates that the holder has met and maintains high standards of training, equipment inventory and customer satisfaction.

The speakers include:

Martin Wraith, IPAF Rental+ scheme manager since last year, started out as a delivery driver before becoming an independent instructor and an IPAF examiner and auditor. He also sat on the IPAF Rental+ Committee and is now responsible for the future development of the scheme.
Tony Seddon managing director, Fall Arrest Safety Equipment Training (FASET), is also company secretary of the Work at Height Safety Association (WAHSA), the Specialist Access Engineering & Maintenance Association (SAEMA), the UK Metal Decking Association (UKMDA) and also a director of the Access Industry Forum (AIF).
Alana Paterson head of HSE at Nationwide Platforms, has almost 20 years’ experience in construction health & safety. Prior to joining Nationwide in 2020 she worked for some of the UK’s Tier-1 Principal Contractors and is a member of IPAF’s International Safety Committee and the UK Strategic Forum Plant Safety Group.

Matt Cragg, general manager of rental company Just4Access, began his powered access career in 2012, when he co-founded Just4Access with his father. Five years ago, the company introduced a rental operation running a fleet in south west England and south Wales.

They abound
Some one-sided-ness, surely?
