George Reid demonstrating his descent control system

He was passionate about safety and training and was always ready to demonstrate his new products and ideas and was bitterly disappointed at last year’s Vertikal Days when he was unable to demonstrate his emergency escape descent control device for boom lifts.

His indomitable spirit and particular style will be missed.

The family has asked the details of the funeral be passed on for those wishing to pay their respects. It will take place on Saturday 13th March 2010 at 11am at:

Medway Crematorium
Robin Hood Lane
Chatham
Kent ME5 9QU

The family has also asked that flowers are not sent and that anyone wishing to make a donation to make it to the 'Sean Quinn Fund for life' a small fund working in association with the Malcolm Sergeant Charity for terminally ill children and their families, which we the Reids have supported for the past few years.

A reception will be held following the funeral at
The Inn On The Lake Hotel
A2 Shorne
Gravesend
Kent
DA12 3HB
