New Barin for Wemo-Tec

German based rental company Wemo-Tec has purchased a new under bridge lift from Italian producer Barin.

The AB19/SDL is a new model, which says Barin introduces a new concept that with a special launching sequence which enables it to set up and operate without interfering with electrical lines running underneath the bridge deck.

The lift is mounted on a 32 tonne Scania R400LB 8x2 chassis and offers a 23 metre vertical ‘fall’ with up to 19 metres of under-bridge outreach or 23.4 metres of overhead outreach. Platform capacity is 300kg and both barrier and sidewalk clearance of 4.6 metres.

Wemo-Tec takes delivery of the new AB19SDL at the Barin plant in Italy.


As with all Barin under bridge units the AB19 operates within a single traffic lane allowing others to remain open while work is carried out.

Wemo-Tec claims to be the largest under bridge lift specialist in Europe with a fleet of around 300 units based at three locations Eichenzell, Weißenfels / Leipzig and Groß-Umstadt / Rhein-Main Süd.
