Lifterz Expands in North West

UK based access specialist Lifterz is opening a new location in the North West of England.

The new branch opens next week in Haydock, Lancashire- between Manchester and Liverpool. The company says that it believes the premises, on the Haydock Industrial Estate is a perfect location and has a good combination of office/workshop/ IPAF training area and yard space.

Lifterz' new North West operation will be headed by regional operations director, Lee Jolley. Jolley was most recently a senior sector manager at Speedy Hire, one of several senior posts he has held at the company since 2007. Before that he was sales manager with Blackpool based Smiths Equipment Group, where he helped develop the company’s access division.

Lifterz has placed orders for around 80 new lifts with Skyjack, Snorkel, Holland Lift, Niftylift and Iteco to stock the new facility. Ben Bowers of Lifterz said: "We already have a good customer base in the region and the new depot will help greatly to service this business in a more economical and environmentally friendly way than we do at present. Our combined fleet will not be far off 600 units by the time all the new machines are delivered."

Lifterz is also a member of the Access Link, the association of independently owned regional rental companies, which boasts a national fleet of 4,700 units over a 25 depot network.
