Ainscough appointed Vice president ESTA
The European Special Transport Association ( E.S.T.A.), the crane and heavy specialised transport association, held a recent meeting in the Manchester area, hosted by Ainscough Crane Hire Ltd.
During the meeting which covered a full range of topics and was chaired by ESTA president Christian-Jacques Vernazza, Ainscough Managing Director, Martin Ainscough, was invited to become a vice president of ESTA, which he accepted.
Martin Ainscough said: “ I am honoured to accept the position of Vice-President of this important Association. I hope that I can help raise the profile of ESTA here in the UK and assist in the development of a safer and more harmonised industry throughout Europe. We were delighted that a group of the ESTA members were able to stay on after the meeting to visit our Headquarters and hopefully this will assist them understand how we comply with legislation here in the UK.”

Christian Jaques Vernazza congratulates Martin Ainscough during the ESTA visit
At an SNUG (French Crane association) meeting last year Vernazza, who is also the President of Mediaco, France’s leading crane hire company, said that France should look towards the UK crane hire industry for inspiration as a base for setting European quality standards.
