Longstaff said: “I have known Adrian for some time and like his work ethic and management style and I know he’s going to do a great Job for us. His primary focus will be on quality issues, we want to go from great to excellent. One aim will be to help Clements attain IPAF Rental+ status, as well as ISO9001 Quality Management System, ISO14001 Environmental Management Standard and OHSAS18001 Occupational Health and Safety. In addition, we will roll out a training matrix for our whole team and implement a continuous improvement program”.

Hutchinson added: “I’m delighted to be joining Clements and also working with Jim again. I’m pleased to see that Clements has weathered the storm of the recession and feel that what Jim and his team are trying to achieve is totally in line with my career aspirations. Also to work along-side a founder member of the Hire Association of Europe in chairman – John Jennings is going to be brilliant and we can all benefit from his wealth of knowledge and experience.”

“We have made a commitment to Niftylift as our preferred supplier of booms for the future along with Skyjack for scissor products” said Longstaff. “We are considering the tracked-boom/spider lift options available in the marketplace and aim to add in this area by mid-2012. We are also looking at the vehicle-mounted marketplace and aim to make a decision in this area soon”
