Gebr.Mayer open day
Long-term German regional Potain dealer Gebr.Mayer held a major open day this weekend at its headquarters in Fürth, central Germany, which attracted over 1,500 visitors over the two days – Friday and Saturday.
The event was to focus attention on the latest Potain self-erecting tower cranes, with six different models on display, including the Igo T-130, Igo MC 13, Igo MA 21, Igo 32, Igo T 70 and HDT 80.

The Gebr.Mayer open day had an impressive range or tower cranes on show
Managing director Wilhelm Lämmermann said: "Customers are always impressed by the capabilities of the Igo T-130, after all, it's not every day that they see an eight tonne capacity, 50 mere jib crane that can be transported on three trucks and erected in just four hours. It proved a major attraction and talking point at the event."
Founded in 1924 Mayer sells a wide range of equipment and represents Atlas, Böcker, Case, Herkules telehandlers, JLG, and Terex as well as Potain, from four locations. The company sold its first Potain crane in 1959 and has represented the brand ever since, having sold 2,000 cranes over the years. The company also runs a rental fleet of around 100 tower cranes.
