Kobelco Cranes appoints new President

Kobelco Cranes Co., Ltd. Has announced that it will appoint Mr Yoshihiro Tanno as its new President and Chief Executive Officer in late June. This decision was made at Kobelco Cranes' board of directors meeting held today, April 7th..

Tanno, (62) is a 38 year Kobe steel veteran, is currently a senior managing director of parent company Kobe Steel, Ltd. On May first, he will become an advisor to Kobelco Cranes before being appointed president. He will replace current Kobelco Cranes President, Takashi Ishida who will become a senior advisor to the management committee in late June before taking up the role of chairman of West Japan Highway Corporation on October first.

These management changes will be ratified following approval at the Kobleco cranes general shareholders meeting in late June and its board of directors meeting that follows.
