13 metres on air

UK based Platform Sales & Hire has introduced a new air powered aerial work platform, the Airlift 35.

The Airlift 35 can take two men and their equipment up to a working height of almost 13 metres, all under the power of a pneumatic motor. In addition to the air drive system, all control valves and interlock switches are also air powered.

The new product was specifically developed in response to enquiries from oil refineries and petrochemical companies looking to two men platforms that can work within confined and hazardous zones.

Sales director Duncan Howard said: “The air powered system not only ticks all the right safety boxes, but also gives our customers a financial benefit over the alternative of using traditional electrical explosion proof protection systems. “
