New president for Doosan Europe
South Korea's Doosan Infracore Construction Equipment group has appointed Martin Knoetgen as president of Doosan Europe, Middle East and Africa.
He replaces Scott Nelson who has decided to leave the company, due to personal reasons, having been in the role since June 2010.
Prior to this promotion, Knoetgen was vice president of operations at the company, having joined Doosan from Dalphi Metal, a subsidiary of TRW Automotive, where he was president. Before that he spent three years as the director of operations in Europe and a further four years as plant manager with TRW Automotive. He officially assumes his new role on June 1st.

Doosan chief executive Tony Helsham, said: “I would like to thank Nelson for his strong leadership and valued contributions to our company. It was important to appoint someone who embodies the company’s values in the same way Nelson has done as president.”
“Knoetgen has served as the vice president of operations for the past two years. With more than 15 years of general management and operations experience, he has a balanced leadership approach and a demonstrated ability to deliver on short-term goals while developing strategies and executing against the long-range plan.”
Knoetgen will report to Helsham in his new role, while Nelson will remain with the company until July as an advisor to assist with the transition.
