LSI sets up in the UK

Canadian-based wireless crane instrumentation company, Load Systems International (LSI) has opened a UK division, Load Systems UK Ltd, based in Aberdeen, Scotland.

The new venture is headed by managing director, Kirk Anderson along with sales director Millar Kennedy and technical director Richard Legge. The Aberdeen operation will be responsible for the European and Middle East region for all crane products, including safe load indicators, load cells, load links, load pin shackles, wind speed sensors, switches, running line tensiometers and ATEX Zone 1 certified sensors.

Load Systems chief executive David Smith, said: “We currently operate from locations around the world with facilities in Houston, Quebec City, Adelaide, Australia and Dubai. The Aberdeen operation is ideally situated and will play a major role in our growth plans. With Kirk, Millar and Richard on board we have an experienced, dynamic management team who will help establish LSI as the premiere provider of wireless lifting products and technology across the UK, Europe and the Middle East.”

Anderson added: “It is exciting to be part of the LSI growth strategy and we are delighted to be part of the global team. Being the Oil Capital of Europe, Aberdeen is the ideal platform for our operation to provide a one-stop-shop solution for sales, hire, repairs and calibration services for the crane and lifting industries.”
