Link Belt announces new appointments
Link Belt Cranes has announced a number of product support and marketing promotions and appointments.
Chris Erwin has been named product technician for hydraulic cranes in the Link-Belt product support department. Erwin joined the company in 1989 at the customer service warehouse and subsequently worked in hydraulic truck crane assembly and as an assembly mechanic.

At the same time Tony Hatton, who joined the company three years ago, is promoted from associate hydraulic crane technician to product technician. He has completed a broad-based Link-Belt training program and in his new role will be responsible for support for Link-Belt’s full line of hydraulic cranes.

Frank Snapp, manager, technical product support said: “Chris understands customer priorities and has a clear idea of what Link-Belt is looking for in excellent customer service. Our customers will also benefit from Tony’s experience and continued dedication to his new role as product technician.”
Finally Casey Smith has been named publicity coordinator for Link-Belt Construction Equipment, with responsibility for handling the company’s communication to trade press, distributors, and Link-Belt customers.

Smith was most recently with Big Ass Fans, a major supplier of industrial and domestic ceiling fans, where he was public relations co-ordinator and prior to that sales associate.
Bruce Kabalen, manager, marketing communications said: “Casey brings a level of expertise we are excited to infuse into this department. We firmly believe he will be an asset to this department for many years to come.”
