His role will be to build up a national dealer network and to develop full product support coverage. Spence, owner of Kumu International Sales, has spent 39 years in the light construction equipment business, including spells with Multiquip, Wacker and US Rentals. He is based in Boise, Idaho. Kumu also represents Export sales for AMT Pump.
He joins R&B from Equipment Synergy International, where he was vice president of product development.
R&B is descended from the original spider crane pioneer of the Toa mini crane and is now owned by Sakamoto Sangyo, a major Kobelco distributor in Japan, which has significant rental operations both domestically and overseas.
