New director for Harsco
Harsco has appointed James F. Earl, president of GATX Rail International, as a non-executive director.
Earl has spent his entire career in the rail industry, starting out as an assistant terminal superintendent at Southern Pacific Railroad. He has been with railroad car leasing company GATX since 1988.

His appointment takes the Harsco board to nine members, eight of which are non-executive directors.
Harsco’s interim chief executive Henry Knueppel said: “Jim is an experienced corporate leader and strategic decision-maker with deep-seated knowledge of the rail industry. His perspectives will add to the considerable depth and breadth of experience represented on the Harsco Board.”
