Charity walk …in a Onesie

Trevor Jepson, owner of UK crane company City Lifting has completed a fund raising walk this weekend dressed in a onesie – an adult version of a baby’s sleeping attire for those not in the know.

The walk was in aid of the Royal British Legion Band & Corps of Drums, Romford, which Jepson says is the best youth marching band in the UK.
Band members are taken from 10 years old are taught to play an instrument, march and take part in displays, tattoos, veteran events and concerts both in the UK and overseas. There are currently 75 band members.

The band in action

The band is registered as a charity and is staffed entirely by volunteers who give their time for free, including some ex and serving army personnel and depends largely on donations from individuals. The band won two gold medals in the last tri-annual world championships, held in Kerkrade, Netherlands in 2010. Click here to see a video of their efforts

At the finishing point in Romford Market

The walk began at Buckingham Palace in London and ended 16 miles away in Romford.
