Peter Jones joins Facelift Access

Peter Jones formerly with Lavendon in the UK, is joining UK based Facelift Access in the newly-created position of technical director.

His remit within Facelift will include overseeing engineering, safety, quality, environmental and transport standards within the business, with a focus on customer service.

Jones began his career in the 1970's as an engineering apprentice, and held a number of local, regional and national management positions at companies such as Mercedes Benz, Suttons Motor Group, and UK Waste Management.
He joined Lavendon in 2001, as a hire depot general manager, progressing to engineering & operating standards manager.

On leaving the business in 2008, he became an independent consultant, working with a number of companies in the industry taking on projects such as rental depot modelling, after-sales structure review and process improvement work and was health & safety manager for Vertikal Days in 2011. He joined Leach Lewis for a short period but returned to his consulting business after its demise.

He currently serves on various industry bodies, including IPAF’s UK and main councils and also contributes to IRTE and SFPSG projects.
Commenting on his appointment, Jones said ‘‘I have enjoyed working with Facelift on an ad-hoc basis for some time and I’m looking forward to joining the business in a more formalised position at an exciting time in their growth.”

Facelift’s managing director, Gordon Leicester added: ‘‘The creation of this new position in our senior management recognises our commitment to providing outstanding customer service in all areas of the business.
