Another Tadano for Mann
Mann Crane Hire of the Isle of Man ordered a new 70 tonne four axle Tadano-Faun ATF 70G-4 at Vertikal Days on Thursday, brightening up a damp afternoon for the UK distributor UK Cranes.
The new crane, one of the smallest All Terrain cranes with twin engines, both of which are emission and economy efficient Mercedes Bluetech units, features a 44 metre main boom plus 16 metre extension. It joins two other Tadano cranes in the Mann fleet, and ATF 40G-2 and ATF 60-3.

(L-R) Chris Barnes of Mann with Paul Goodall of UK Cranes and Barry Barnes of Mann seal the deal at Vertikal Days.
Designed as a pure taxi crane it can travel with almost 12 tonnes of counterweight, the 16 metre bi-fold swingaway extension and two hook blocks and tackle within the 12 tonne axle loadings. Even at 10 tonnes an axle it can carry a 3.5 tonne counterweight and both blocks. The lower axle weights are ideal for the island roads, but if required it can carry the optional 3.1 tonnes of additional counterweight – 15 tonnes in total – under UK STGO rules.
