NZ port orders for Liebherr

New Zealand’s Port of Tauranga has taken delivery of a super post panamax ship to shore crane and the three straddle carriers that it ordered last year from Liebherr Container Cranes. The new cranes were in time for the celebrations marking the opening of its 170 metre wharf extension. The company is also expected to take delivery of its seventh Liebherr ship to shore crane early in 2014.

Liebherr has also received an order for a super post panamax ship to shore crane and delivered the four straddle carriers for South Island’s Port of Lyttleton in Christchurch that it ordered in January. The delivery increases the port’s total number of Liebherr straddle carriers to eight and the number of ship to shore cranes to three.
