First LTR 1220 delivered
The first 220 tonne Liebherr LTR 1220 telescopic crawler crane has been delivered to Albert Regel the crane and heavy transport contractor based in Baunatal near Kassel in Germany.
The new crane went straight to work on the construction of a prefabricated concrete building in Villingen-Schwenningen. The telescopic crawler apparently proved to be a ‘natural’ for handling prefabricated concrete components weighing up to 21 tonnes, carefully positioning them at up to 55 metres radius. It joins a fleet 35 mobile cranes with load capacities up to 500 tonnes.

Unveiled at the Liebherr customer days in 2012, the LTR1220 features a 60 metre telescopic boom, and establishes a whole new class of telescopic crawler crane.
Albert Regel was also one of the first companies to own a 100 tonne Liebherr LTR 1100, which the company unveiled in 2005 and is now convinced on the versatility of the telescopic crawler crane concept.
