Schiller takes over Manitowoc Crane Care
Manitowoc Cranes has appointed Ingo Schiller as executive vice president of Manitowoc Crane Care - its after sales support division. He will retain his current responsibilities as senior vice president of global marketing and product development on an interim basis.
Schiller takes over from Bob Hund who was recently appointed to head Manitowoc's Food service business - see
Hund moves to Food. He joined Manitowoc in January 2008 as vice president of sales and marketing for mobile hydraulic cranes in the Americas, having spent 15 years with Schiller and Liebherr. He will continue to be based at Manitowoc's facility in Shady Grove, Pennsylvania.
Eric Etchart, president of Manitowoc Cranes said: "Over the past three or four years Ingo has immersed himself in the Manitowoc product line and developed a strong understanding of our customers' needs - and that naturally extends to how best to support them. He is well-known and well-respected both within Manitowoc and among our dealer network and customer base, so I'm sure he will have no problems in driving Crane Care on to even bigger and better things."
Schiller added: "I believe that with our parts delivery program, 24/7 contact centres and highly skilled service staff we have one of the best offerings in the business. Yet we're conscious of the fact our industry is changing and we have to evolve as our business grows. I want us to continue to expand our EnCORE refurbishment operation to more international markets, and continue to assess the latest technology to see how best we can provide a service that outperforms the competition."
