1 Up expands and issues 1,000th IPAF Pal card

UK based rental company 1 Up Access passed its 1,000th IPAF PAL card trainee yesterday.

The 1,000th person trained by the company was Richard Bishop of Severfield Watson Steel, who passed an IPAF PAL+ training course. At the same time the company has announced some substantial expansion plans, with eight new 80ft boom lifts on order and four new locations planned.

1 Up managing director Ben James said: “We are looking to open another four centres over the next six months, adding to our existing locations in Sheffield and Bolton. I feel training is a crucial part of our business which has massive opportunities for the future.”

“Since starting trading in January 2010 we have grown year on year and now have a hire fleet of 300 plus machines with 20 of them being boom lifts of 80ft or more, with a further eight 80ft booms on on order for late 2013 / early 2014 delivery.
