The ATF 70G-4 was also chosen because for its two engine configuration, compact dimensions, mobility- the crane can travel legally with its full counterweight - and manoeuvrability with 8x8x8 drive/steer.
The crane has a 44 metre five section boom plus a 16 metre bi-fold swingaway boom extension providing a hook height of over 60 metres.
