Ritchie Bros appoints marketing director EMEA

Used equipment auctioneer Ritchie Bros has appointed Joerg Bachmann as director of marketing for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Bachmann has extensive experience in the European equipment market, where he held senior marketing and business development positions with Zeppelin Rental (formally MVS Zeppelin) and Loxam and acted as chairman of the promotion committee at the European Rental Association (ERA).

“Joerg brings an impressive range of qualities to the position,” said Kenton Low, Ritchie’s chief marketing officer. “His breadth of experience in sales, marketing and business development at high-end European equipment rental companies makes him an excellent choice to head our EMEA marketing activities.”

Bachmann - and a team of nine - will be based in Breda, The Netherlands and responsible for marketing equipment sold at dozens of auctions held across the region each year, including regular auctions held at its permanent sites located in the UK, France, The Netherlands, Spain, Germany, Italy and the United Arab Emirates.
