Jeremy Fish

Fish joins the company following a six month stint working as a consultant with Ainscough Crane, prior to that he spent eight years with generator rental company Aggreko Hire (Robin Richardson, Ainscough’s new managing director also came from Aggreko), where his most recent position was managing director of emerging markets, including: Russia, South East Europe, Turkey, the former Soviet republics and the Middle East. Other roles include responsibility for a UK region and his first job with the company – vice president of business planning and development.

He began his management career with Avery Berkel, part of the GEC group, as group commercial manager, moving eight years later to financial services network Misys as head of IT, moving after six years to Synaptic Systems where he was managing director for a year before joining Aggreko.

Lavendon group chief executive Don Kenny said: “Jeremy has a strong and solid background in the rental industry in both the domestic UK market and wider international stage having worked for Aggreko from 2004 to 2012 in a number of senior roles in North America, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East. Most recently he has been involved with Ainscough Crane Hire in the UK as a Consultant, focusing on the development of transformation initiatives to improve business performance.”

“He joins the organisation at a time of real sales and customer focus in the UK. We are committed to delivering increased shareholder value whilst ensuring our customers enjoy high levels of quality and service through our differentiation strategy and wide product range. Jeremy’s role, along with the wider UK Leadership Team, is to ensure the organisation is in the right shape to deliver on these commitments.”

Vertikal Comment

Lavendon has a history of sourcing senior managers from Aggreko, including two recent departures - Andy Wright and Mick Ledden. The UK’s largest crane hire company and its largest aerial lift rental company are now both run by recent Aggreko departures who appear to have a close working relationship. Might we therefore expect Ainscough and Lavendon to work more closely together in the future?
