Thiesen now Cramo

German rental company Thiesen has changed its name and branding to Cramo more than three and a half years after it was acquired.

The statement on the company’s website simply says "From October 1, 2014 Theisen is Cramo!" the message adds: "We are changing our name and at the same time kicking off a number of customer-oriented innovations and improvements”.

The German business has also moved its Frankfurt region operation from the city’s east end to new larger premises in Offenbach. The company says that in addition to more space for its larger telescopic equipment, it offers a faster connection to the city center and the A661 autobahn.

The company has also relocated its operation in lower Bavaria Landshut to larger building a few hundred metres away.

Chief executive Dirk Schlitzkus said: "Thanks to the move to more modern, larger sites with ideal transport links, we can expand our rental business in the Frankfurt area and Landshut".
