What traffic?

Spotted somewhere in the UK a tradesman with the sense to use powered access for a building maintenance job but sadly having no concern for passing traffic and working directly over the footpath.

In the words of our correspondent: “I came across this this morning right over public foot path with counterweight stuck out in road and no signage or barriers. When told how dangerous it was by me I was told to F-Off.”

Working in the street on a dull day with no concern for passing traffic

Looking closer the man clearly knows what he is doing and is wearing a harness, although it is hard to see if he has attached a lanyard – let’s give him the benefit of the doubt on that one.

This is no isolated incident, we have seen similar examples all over Europe. As well as being a Death Wish this man might just be breaking the law - by blocking the highway with no safety warnings for passing traffic. Even when you break down in a car you are supposed to place a warning triangle in the street.
