Fatal lift incident

We have just learned that the UK Health and Safety Executive is investigating a fatal incident at the Indesit factory in Yate, Bristol on March 21st.

We virtually no details of what happened, except the man, 66, an electrician was supposedly working from a boom lift when it overturned. He died 10 days later from his injuries.

While this has been recorded as a work platform accident, all too often with such vague reports, the truth turns out to have involved a fork truck or other makeshift platform. We will therefore update this article as and when we receive more information.
