New VP engineering for Talbert
US based Talbert Trailer has appointed Sam Guron as vice president of engineering.
In his new role he will oversee Talbert’s engineering and IT departments, which are responsible for designing and launching new products. His primary role will be to create and execute the product development process as well as leading all aspects of the company’s new technology commercialisation.
Guron joins Talbert from Volvo Construction Equipment in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, where he was a global operational excellence manager. Prior to that, he spent 17 years with Caterpillar in various engineering and managerial positions in Peoria, Illinois. At Caterpillar, he managed multiple new product introduction programmes, product cost management, oversaw the research and development budgets for the machines’ electrical and electronics systems. He also served as a Six Sigma master Black Belt, training and coaching Caterpillar’s project leaders.
