Plenty of interest in Force

We understand that the sale of Australian rental company Force Corp has attracted a large number of offers.

The company went into administration in mid-July and appointed Chris Hill and Brett Lord of PPB Advisory as receivers. See force appoints receiver following the breakdown of rescue talks with Platinum Equity.

The administrators have advertised widely for interested parties and, if the ‘talk’ is correct have received a good number expressions of interest. Bidders are said to include: The Carlyle group, Coates Hire – which is part owned by the Seven group, Ahern Rentals from the USA, RMB Capital Partners - which owns Instant Access Australia and MH Carnegie which is said to be working with Stephen Donnelley, the founder of National Hire and old colleague Andrew Aitken.

The business is expected to fetch somewhere in the region of A$45 to A$50 million.
