100,000th JLG for Riwal

Dutch international rental company Riwal made the winning bid last night for the European 100,000th JLG commemorative telehandler, bidding €88,000 for the special machine.

Riwal requested that €50.000 of the proceeds be donated to the Alpe d’HuZes foundation which holds an annual event in which participants ascend the Alpe d'Huez mountain, either by walking, running or cycling to raise funds to support the battle against cancer. Last year around 5,000 participants raised €13.5 million for the cause. Riwal participated in this year’s even entering three team - runners, cyclists and hikers See Riwal team climbs for charity . It plans to nominate other charities for the remaining €38,000 over the next few weeks.
