General manager Jonnie Keys said: “Euro Auctions conducted its first sale on this Houston, Texas site on the 4th December to gauge local and country wide interest. The results were very encouraging with a selection of cranes out performing expectations, as such we have now secured this site as our auction facility in Texas. The region has long been seen as one of the most important in the USA and we feel it is good to have a presence in this area as we grow the Euro Auctions brand worldwide. This new site will also provide access to the Mexico and South American markets through the port of Houston.”
Steve Watson, country manager for the USA added: “Euro Auctions has long aspired to expand within the USA but plans have always hinged on finding suitable facilities from which to trade. With the acquisition of a new site in Atlanta and now the Houston site, we now have the unique opportunity to be located amongst the hub of the American equipment industry, which will be instrumental to the success of this venture.”
