New VP for Acme

US wholesale rental company Acme Lift has appointed Ed McHale as senior vice president of south eastern operations.

McHale joins the company from Atlas Copco Rental, where he has been vice president of the company’s North American fleet for just over a year. Before that he held a similar position at Volvo where he spent almost seven years, having joined the company as a general manager of corporate stores. He started his career in 1998 with United Rentals where he worked as district manager for five years. He also had spells with Carolina Cat and Stafford Equipment.

Ed McHale

Chief executive Woody Weld said: “Ed brings enormous levels of talent and experience to the Acme Lift team. His strong suite of capabilities in our historical aerial business, plus exceptional knowledge of our growing air compressor business, will be of significant value to Acme Lift’s customers in the south eastern region.”

President Mike Crouch added: “Ed and I worked closely together for many years at the former Volvo Rents and is the perfect choice for us to really emphasise our efforts in the southeastern United States. He is a consummate professional and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the lift team.”
