Morris Accredited

Loughborough based Morris Material Handling has received recognition for its health and safety efforts having gained Safe-contractor accreditation.

The award has been granted to Morris Material Handling for services relating to the servicing, repair and inspection of lifting equipment. The award follows an extensive period of assessment of the company’s health and safety documentation that is compared to the required Safe-contractor Charter Standards.

Pat Campbell, the company’s director of maintenance services said: “We have always held an excellent health and safety record within our field and this latest award is testimony to this fact. The Safe-contractor accreditation is a widely recognised industry standard and one that many blue chip organisations use as a primary means of selecting suitable contractors with whom to work.”

Instigated by the information services division of National Britannia Limited, the Safe-contractor scheme serves to simplify the process of demonstrating that accredited companies have the correct health and safety policies and procedures in place.

All organisations certified under the scheme are also subject to an annual and ongoing reassessment process.
