ALE completes first phase of Doha metro

UK-based heavy lift and transport company ALE has moved almost 1,500 heavy loads over the past 11 months to complete the first phase of the new Doha metro project in Qatar.

The company moved the items which included pre-tensioned concrete pedestal, girder, bridging and segment structures - all pre-fabricated and weighing between 50 and 300 tonnes, with a length of 10 to 36 metres - as part of the Qatar Rail infrastructure development project.
