Crane fatality

A man died on Sunday in Boston, Massachusetts while breaking down a large All Terrain crane.

Police reports state that the man fell while working on the crane - a large Demag owned by Hallamore Crane rental – while it was being disassembled following completion of a weekend job near the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School in the city. The crane appears to have been rigged with luffing jib.

OSHA arrived on the scene promptly to carry out an investigation but made no announcements as to what might have happened. We will update when we learn more.
