Speedy chairman survives

The chairman of UK rental company Jan Åstrand has survived an investor attempt to replace him, with more than 63 percent of shareholders voting against Toscafund’s proposal to remove him.

However the alternative proposal to appoint Toscafund’s candidate for chairman, David Shearer as a non-executive director was approved, with 52.8 percent in favour.
