Lavendon appoints Malcolm Bowers
The Lavendon group has appointed Malcolm Bowers, with effect from 1st October 2006, as a consultant to “support” its new regional network of businesses.
Bowers, 57, has a long history in the UK powered access industry, and among other achievements, founded both Access Rental Ltd and AFI. He was also one of the founders of the Access Link.

Having sold a majority share in AFI to a management buy in group lead by David Shipman and Geoff Gibson in 2002, Bowers parted company with AFI in late 2005.
“I am delighted to be joining the Lavendon Group and to be joining forces with some of the very best people in the industry”, said Bowers..
Richard Miller of Panther Platform Rentals, the largest of the Lavendon acquisitions, said “I am looking forward to the challenge of working together with Malcolm in pushing the Lavendon Group regional businesses forward”.
