Wacker Neuson names new CEO
German telehandler and compact equipment manufacturer Wacker Neuson has appointed Martin Lehner as its new chief executive, following the departure of Cem Peksaglam whose contract expires next month and which is not being renewed.
Lehner, 51, is currently chief technology officer and deputy chief executive and has worked with the company since 1987, when he joined Neuson Hydraulik in Linz, Austria as a sales technician. He had previously spent two years in a similar role at hydraulics and drive line company, Hainzl Industriesysteme, also based in Linz. Over the past 30 years he has held numerous roles in procurement, production, customer service and sales. In 1990 he became a board member of the company, by then rebranded as Neuson Baumaschinen.

Martin Lehner
In 2001 he was appointed managing director of sister company Kramer-Werke, and then in 2004 a board member of Neuson Kramer Baumaschinen, responsible for sales, marketing and IT. He has held his current job as group director responsible for R&D, procurement, production and quality for just over 10 years.
For the immediate future he will lead the executive board of Wacker Neuson with just two co directors the other two being chief financial officer Wilfried Trepels and Alexander Greschner responsible for sales, service, logistics and marketing.
