Terex chairman David Sachs said: “We are very pleased to have Andra Rush join our board of directors. she is an accomplished business owner and chief executive with the ability to see the big picture on a strategic level and significant experience in supply chain and logistics. As Terex has continued to focus on expanding the experience and diversity of its board of directors, her background and experience will make her a valuable addition to the Terex board.”
Speaking of her business Rush said: “I started the business at 23 with a $5,000 loan from my parents, a van and two pickups. My goal was to take care of my parents and grandparents and make their lives easier. In business school, my internship supported the concept that all goods touch a truck. That is, they get delivered by a truck to reach their destination. So I thought it would be an easy way to solve delivery issues that plagued our customers."
