Bigger flat top from Potain

Potain is to introduce a new larger flat top crane, the 550 tonne/metre MCT 565 Topless, with 80 metre jib.

The crane was unveiled to customers from Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore and South Korea at a series of open days last week at the Chinese production facility in Zhangjiagang where it will be built. The formal launch will take place at Bauma China in November, with shipments due to commence in early 2019.

The crane is available in three configurations with maximum capacities of 20, 25 or 32 tonnes the two smaller versions have a choice of winch, either the regular 100 LVF winch or the high speed HPL 150 with a drum capacity of 1,200 metres. The High Performance winch is standard on the 32 tonne version.
The crane offers jib length configurations from 30 to 80 metres in five metre increments. The counter jib is available in three lengths, 17, 21 and 24 metres and is equipped with dedicated slinging points for lifting and tie down. The crane will also have new tower sections, the C800 and C850, with five metre standard or reinforced sections. maximum free-standing height will be more than 70 metres.
