New senior manager at NMT

UK rental company NMT Crane Hire has appointed Mark Nixon as senior crane sales manager.

Nixon joins the company from international heavy lift company ALE, where he has been senior sales manager for the past nine months.

After leaving the shipping sector in the early 2000s, Nixon began his lifting industry career at Mammoet UK, looking after its small crane operation for a number of years, before taking over the projects division which encompassed heavy transport, jacking and operational management. He was later promoted to the group operations director for the UK, overseeing small and heavy cranes and projects division.

In 2012, Nixon left Mammoet to set up a heavy logistics company, serving the offshore drilling and marine sectors. Having sold the business after three years, he joined offshore industrial services company Able UK as logistics manager before moving to ALE last year.
